‘Dant Pari’ was conceptualised out of years of Passion for improvement of Public Oral Health facilities for the lower socioeconomic strata. A tribute to the passion of a mindful Social Entrepreneur Dr M.N.Kulkarni who worked towards providing opportunities to the less fortunate in the field of water, sanitation, immunisation,primary health and education ,urban development , leadership, Panchayati Raj.
“Dant Pari”looks to connect and hand hold Dental Charitable set ups in Urban Slum areas to help revamp, restructure, to help them provide good quality, affordable and accessible Dental Treament.We also help create Awareness and Cessation Platforms for Tobacco consumption both smoking and non-smoking.
We believe that “when you educate a woman you educate a nation”. We focus on women empowerment by providing Skill training in Dental Auxiliary (Dental Assistant, Dental Technician) Healthcare job roles. Right now our focus is on Dental Assistant training for high school Girls/Women from these communities. Dental Chairside Assistants are the key backbone of any Dental set up in a private clinic, hospital ,college . These Students are also trained on Tobacco Awareness so that they reach out to their communities and help gradually create Awareness on Tobacco and provide guidance to required individuals incase of Cessation support.
Although Dant Pari is a fairly young organization, the founder Dr Shweta Javali is a practicing dentist for over twenty years. It is also one of the few chosen ones to be incubated by NSRCEL the social incubator wing of IIMB Indian Institute of Management Bangalore . Dant Pari is a registered Training Centre certified with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
